‼️Today, May 23rd Erdogan announced that Turkey will launch a operation to create a 30km deep “security-zone” on it’s southern Boarder‼️ This is nothing less then a threat of yet another invasion in Rojava and North- and Eastern Syria. In the recent weeks the AKP-MHP regime threatened repeatedly to attack and we have to take these threats serious.
That is why we are mobilising for the
Day X of a renewed invasion against the liberated areas in Northern Syria. Be prepared, because the signs show that it can start at any time!

If it comes to the Day X, the beginning of a new Turkish invasion, then: Let’s take the streets, make actions, occupy, disrupt and block! Together we defend the revolution and take the war back to the responsible places, profiteers, companies and governments!

"There is no strategic change in the deployment of international guarantor powers in the regions of north and east Syria.

Heating the atmosphere and displaying the occupying power by the Turkish state comes in the context of attempts to undermine stability and the natural response by the occupation to attempts to revitalize ISIS remnants.

Defend Kurdistan call on people in solidarity with the Kurdish people to demonstrate wherever they are, in accordance with their own time zones and their own chosen modalities, on June 11, 2022, to repudiate the imperial and repressive policy of the Turkish State.

Do you ask yourself what you can do in case of Turkish invasion in Rojava / Northern and Eastern Syria ?
Here are some proposals for a possible Day X:

📢Demonstrations: Connect locally to organize demonstrations for Day X. The Rojava Revolution brought together many struggles: Contact local democratic, feminist & migrant organizations, anti-fascist groups, unions & syndicats for support. Our strength lies in our diversity!
Prepare speeches that give examples of practical things that can be done and invite to organized events like:
▪️"How to write to politicians" workshops
▪️Lectures on situation in Northern Syria/Rojava, the revolution and its achievements
▪️Information events on arms dealers exporting to Turkey
▪️Occupations and Blockades after Demonstrations
Demonstrations are great for mobilizing large groups of people for blockades or occupations.

⚡️Actions: Block, Disturb, Occupy. Plan actions ahead of demonstrations and motivate to participate afterwards!
Take your anger to:
📍Turkish embassies
📍political supporters of Turkish Fascism
📍arms industry
📍public places like train stations, city halls, newsstations & airports

📸 Media: Creating media attention is key: Contact all media ahead of demonstrations, take photos/videos of demonstrations & actions, share them on social media with #RiseUp4Rojava or send them to riseup4rojava@riseup.net We can forward to Kurdish and International media

🔗Networking: An Attack on #Rojava will create great anger among people. This anger needs to be organized. Prepare initial meetings for creating solidarity committees and invite through speeches on demonstrations. It's important to organize and to use the momentum of anger to act.

🌐Political and public pressure: Turkey relies on foreign cooperation and military supplies. Contact politicians, newspapers and public figures to create pressure and put topics like weapons embargo & boycott on the agenda

Another invasion in Rojava / NES will cause a humanitarian catastrophe and force hundred-thousands to flee. Don’t remain passive in this time of great danger for the people of Northern Syria and prepare to take action.
