Turkey escalates attacks on Northeastern Syria
Following the re-election of the AKP-MHP regime in Turkey, the Turkish army is escalating attacks on self-ruled areas in northeastern Syria.
According to the Rojava Information Center, there has been a massive increase in drone attacks artillery fire in the past days:
15 people were killed in the drone attacks, including 8 Syrian soldiers, 6 SDF fighters, & 1 civilian.
In addition, several civilians were injured, including 2 children, & massive damage was caused to villages & agricultural land in the attacks, which were mainly concentrated in the eastern areas of AANES.
Even an Hospital was shelled in Tel-Rifaat town, Şehba canton in northern Aleppo. While the shelling caused only material damage, the attack on a hospital is widely considered a war crime.
There also continues to be increased activity by Turkish aircraft & drones in the region.
Various sources assume that the attacks are part of an broader air operation, so further attacks can be assumed.

KCK Call: Protect Rojava for the values of humanity
The Community of Kurdistan Societies has called for the defense of Rojava in the face of widespread attacks by the Turkish state. In last week's attacks, 17 people had been killed by drone strikes, and civilians were among the victims. Two teachers had also been deliberately murdered.
Turkey's government has set itself the task of expanding the occupation policy that it is already implementing in large parts of northern Syria, for example in Afrin, Girê Spî and Serê Kaniyê, and to bring all of northeastern Syria under its control.
The region is to be demographically altered, as is the case in the already occupied areas, and genocide is to be perpetrated against the Kurdish population.

Turkish state assassinates co-chairwoman of Qamişlo Canton.
Yesterday, there has been another drone strike on the self-government of northern and eastern Syria. Three people were killed and another was critically injured. The dead are the co-chair of the Qamişlo Cantonal Council Yusra Derwîş, her deputy Lîman Şiwêş and her driver Furat Tûma. The co-chairman of the Canton Council was severely injured.
Once again, the Turkish state escalates the murder of democratically elected representatives of the region. Even if the comparison is somewhat misleading, imagine the uproar if, for example, Russia were to assassinate a minister of a German Federal administration because it did not like her politics.

Action Week on the Anniversary of the Rojava Revolution
On the eleventh anniversary of the revolution in northern and eastern Syria, the Defend Kurdistan campaign is calling for a week of action from 17 to 23 July.
In this regard, the call states:
"It has been eleven years since the revolution in Rojava became a beacon of hope for revolutionary forces worldwide. In times of ongoing crises of the capitalist system, Rojava shows us that social self-management based on women's liberation, grassroots democracy and social ecology is possible and that it is also up to us to fight for it - resolutely and united."
It is precisely the cooperation of Germany and Turkey in the fight against revolution that is to be the focus of the days of action. Since the beginning of June alone, more than 20 people have been killed throughout Kurdistan by Turkish drones, whose technology and weapons are also of German production and engineering.

"Information about the Turkish terrorist attack targeting our commanders and fighters in Qamishlo"
SDF: On the anniversary of ISIS's Shengal Massacre, the invading Turkish state targeted our fighters and commanders fighting against ISIS. A SİHA belonging to the invading Turkish state targeted a vehicle in the village of Hirmeşexo in Qamishlo at around 19.15 today. As a result of the attack, 4 of our commanders were martyred and 2 of our fighters were injured. Our attacked commanders and warriors were on their trail.
One of our martyred commanders, Aram Mehmed İbrahim, was a veteran of ours who was injured in the war against ISIS. Our friends Diyar Cuma Xelil, Ahmed Fadil Simo and Barzan Mustefa Şexmus have been fighting for the defense of Rojava for years.
Detailed information about the attack will be shared with the public later.

Tense Security Situation in Deir ez-Zor, Northeastern Syria
The Deir ez-Zor canton in northeastern Syria has been experiencing fighting and a tense security situation for several days. Earlier this week, Syrian Democratic Forces had arrested the local commander of the military council after being ordered to do so by the self-government's highest court. He is accused of nepotism, collaborating with counterrevolutionary foreign forces such as Turkey, and drug trafficking. Since then, minor skirmishes have occurred with some of his supporters in the region.
However, the situation is also being exploited by opponents of self-rule. Both Turkey and the Syrian regime are said to have attempted to send covert units to the region and inflame the situation. The IS is also said to have activated sleeper cells for this purpose. False videos of the situation are circulating on the Internet, taken from the past or other places, in order to misrepresent the situation.
