The Turkish state's strategy in guerrilla areas backfires

The Turkish state's invasion of the Medya Defence Zones, labelled as a strategy to "destroy terror at its source", is increasingly backfiring. The Turkish army itself has been encircled and is suffering heavy losses.

Rojava: The war continues

In Decembers large scale bombing campaign Turkey destroyed critical infrastructure & production sites. Even though the large scale bombing has stopped, the war continues.

Let's be clear: not only is the low-intensity war a real war, hard and bloody, but it is a war that threatens the very existence of the revolution in Rojava. This study aims to bring awareness to this point. It is up to us, shoulder to shoulder with our comrades in Rojava and Qandil, to act accordingly.

🔴 BREAKING: Again airstrikes by Turkey on Rojava

According to the latest reports, the Turkish air force is once again carrying out massive airstrikes on cities in north-eastern Syria.

As in October and most recently in December, the civilian infrastructure in the Cizire region in the far north-east of Syria is once again under attack.
Attacks are currently being reported from Derik, Rimelan and Tirbespî.

In the late afternoon, local sources reported further heavy losses for the Turkish army in northern Iraq.
Dozens of Turkish soldiers are said to have been injured and killed in a four-pronged attack by guerrillas on positions on the Amediye peak in the contested region of Zap, and the peak is said to have been captured by the guerrillas.

Many Turkish soldiers had already been killed in a similar operation in December. The army had also tried to hide its own losses from the public with massive airstrikes on civilian targets in Rojava.
Greetings from Zap to Afrin!

It turned out that the occupying Turkish soldier, Special Infantry Officer Ahmet Koroglu (from Gîresûn), who was killed yesterday in Zap by Kurdistan Freedom Guerrillas, participated in the occupation of Afrin in 2018.
