I really want to see the documentary. I have to give a lot of credit to Jah Pan Africanism, for the end of the slave trade in Ethiopia, but at the same time, Jah was celebrating his 40-year kingship when many people died because of hunger.

Funny story, the cake that I, the emperor, celebrated with was prepared in London, England. So when the plane arrived in Ethiopia, an accident happened and the cake broke into two. So the officials reseated the plane to London and brought another cake so Jah could celebrate his whatever thing. At the same time, in 1967 E.C., people died on the street because of hunger.
This is insanity.

I feel bad for his family because they go through a lot because of their name. Some of them executed, tortured but I personally can't say Jah was all good and all bad.

N.B.: Jah is Emperor Haile Selassie

LISTENING ACCOMPLISHES MORE THAN SPEAKING

“To the youngster talking nonsense Zeno said, ‘The reason why we have two ears and only onemouth is so we might listen more and talk less.’”
—DIOGENES LAERTIUS, LIVES OF EMINENT PHILOSOPHERS, 7.1.23
Why do the wise have so few problems compared with the rest of us? There are a few simplereasons.

First, the wise seem to manage expectations as much as possible. They rarely expect what isn’tpossible in the first place.

Second, the wise always consider both the best and worst case scenarios. They don’t just think aboutwhat they wish to happen, but also what very realistically can happen if things were to suddenly turn.

Third, the wise act with a reverse clause—meaning that they not only consider what might go wrong, but they are prepared for that to be exactly what they want to happen—it is an opportunity for excellenceand virtue.

And if you follow it today, you too will find that nothing surprises you or happens contrary to yourexpectations.

What Are Men’s Lives Worth?

Some years ago, people were worried about raising boys who might grow up to disrespect or even hate women. Society condemned that — and rightfully so. Yet now, it feels like the pendulum has swung to the other extreme.
Everywhere I look — in media, online discussions, even casual conversations — I see growing resentment toward men. It’s as if manhood itself has become something to apologize for. We hear it all the time: “All men are cheaters.” “All men are lustful.” “All men are dangerous.” But that’s not truth — that’s prejudice.
I understand where some of this fear and anger comes from. There are real issues that deserve to be addressed. But turning that pain into hatred toward all men doesn’t solve anything. It only creates more division, more distrust, and more bitterness.
I think about my own family — men who have sacrificed their lives to protect this country. Fathers, brothers, sons who chose duty over comfort, who left their wives and children behind because they believed in something greater than themselves. To see their sacrifices dismissed or ignored by people who claim men have no value in society is deeply painful.
This growing hatred toward men — this belief that being male automatically makes someone evil — is not only unfair, it’s dangerous. It poisons relationships, weakens families, and corrupts the way we see one another as human beings.
As for me, I refuse to join this culture of hate. I will never support a mindset that despises men simply for being men. I’m a man — a conservative Christian man — and I believe that men and women were both created with purpose, strength, and dignity.
This isn’t progress. It’s a virus — a virus of hate disguised as justice. And it’s time we start treating it that way.

NO SHAME IN NEEDING HELP

“Don’t be ashamed of needing help. You have a duty to fulfill just like a soldier on the wall ofbatle. So what if you are injured and can’t climb up without another soldier’s help?”

NO SHAME IN NEEDING HELP “Don’t be ashamed of needing help. You have a duty to fulfill just like a soldier on the wall ofbatle. So what if you are injured and can’t climb up without another soldier’s help?” —MARCUS AURELIUS, MEDITATIONS, 7.
No one ever said you were born with all the tools you’d need to solve every problem you’d face in life. In fact, as a newborn, you were practically helpless. Someone helped you then, and you came to understand that you could ask for that help. It was how you knew you were loved. Well, you are still loved. You can ask anyone for help. You don’t have to face everything on your own. If you need help, comrade, just ask.

When I was in the Air Force, calling a teammate or anyone in the military ጓድ was an obligation. Whenever someone referred to me, they would say ጓድ before my name. But ጓድ is more than just a word—it means we are more than brothers. No matter the pain, even if I were wounded or killed in battle, my ጓድ would carry me on his shoulder, with my weapon and uniform. There’s no “mine” or “yours.” A ጓድ is someone ready to die for Ethiopia and for you. We carry each other.
If u have one Just ask him for help.
