My laptops near death experience

There is me , chilling doing normal dev things on my pc , put it on my bed ( on the bedsheets no airfow ? ) went and did stuff then sat back down to do whatever i was doing then. but hey , no screen feed , keyboard is lit but no feed.

i force a shutdown and try to see if i can get to bios. nope , a blank stare from my keyboard backlight.

Me having dealt with lots of cases where display cord came loose and screen goes blank goes into troubleshoot mode , i unplug all peripherals and run to the family tv , plug the hdmi in and check if i can get anything to show up. No dice.
quickly checking the indicator lights and i see that the hdd isnt even being read. *concern levels rise *

start going through all the stages of grief simultaneously as the more i take things out and try troubleshooting my pc showed no signs of life.

until i unplug the ac power and replug it and i hear a BEEP , i remembered that there was a bios setting that enabled beep on power that i turned off around the first time i got the pc. maybe the bios reverted to its primordial self ?

*Remember a weird thing you can do with bioses and flashing * , i go and grab my dads laptop and start googling. and i stumble into this forum where this one blessed individual has outlined step by step on what to do to reset my model of lenovo pc.
i follow EVERY SINGLE STEP , yes even the last one where you gotta pray.

Try flashing it , fans rev up to full rpm , but no beep 😳 Christ almighty , i try again with the second usb port , no avail , i rename the files and also eject properly, try again , nothing. despair starts to set in. then i look over to the ram sticks i took out at the start of the whole " lets figure out whats wrong" phase. think , how will it write to the ROM if it doesn't have something to hold the data temporarily or something and plug it in. try it , PC starts beeping like a hell in the middle of the 11pm night. i don't care tho i just fall to my knees thanking God like , i was so sure i was about to start touching grass and socializing with real people and what not.

Anyways , it finishes beeping after a solid 5 -7 minutes and starts booting. This was by far the most stressful ive been working on a pc in my life.

tweaking around with Bori, my telegram userbot , adding abuse checks and management commands before i let it loose.

also thinking of adding an accountability and habit system and a few cool things.

for now tho ill do it manually and sleep early for a start.

Latest update to my userbot allows me to set myself as inactive. just a heads up if you ever see a message like this , its from a bot.

i should add curfews to telegram , like no meaningless texting after 10 pm ... or something like that.

ive optimized and minimized all my content consumption besides telegram , and i think i should start tackling that.

bot down , accidentally used my session on two instances , dev n prod. and welp telegram burns both sessions when that happens. thing is tho telethon has an issue where it doesnt send you the code randomly , just like they dont play well with telegram or something. tried with multiple accounts and vpn settings and proxies , even on a repl. 👀 maybe i should just port it to pyrogram. anyways im putting it on haitus temporarily until i either find a session file in my old project files or idk the devs of telethon fix it.

DUDE , async functions return promises , you have to .then them or do an await. i completely was in hell because i thought i was returning a boolean while i was returning a PROMISE FOR A BOOLEAN.

Talking to someone / something about your bug helps a HECKTON , dont let anyone tell you otherwise. 14 minutes talking to a dormmate with him having a confused expression for the entire thing helped me solve a bug i was dealing with for days.
