Ever since Magnus got his first tooth he has been extremely clingy and fussy. Possibly still feeling a lot of pain and there may even be more teeth on the way we can’t see yet. I’ve been trying to keep my phone out of sight bc Magnus’s mood demands my presence. So aside from a few minor instances I’ve only been looking at screens when he’s asleep.

It’s been good for me and him. These lockdowns have made us all way too accustomed to excessive screen time. I’m doing my best to only be on my phone or computer if I have work or content to be making. Cutting out the scrolling has been very very nice tbh. I’m less in the loop regarding all the stock stuff, and have no fresh takes on current events, but I’m calmer and a better wife and mom for it.

I am TIRED of seeing midwives posting this garbage on my timeline in an effort to be “inclusive” of mentally ill radicals.

Birth is EXCLUSIVE.

I had my life confession today. It went perfectly. I was a bit nervous and stressed like before, but I was honest and I didn’t let my shame get the better of me.

I am now standing in the doorway of the church, figuratively speaking, my husband has one more confession and then we will enter the church as a family.

I’m so overwhelmed with gratitude. I love the Orthodox Church so much it makes me so indescribably happy that we are almost ready to get my boy baptized. Thank you for all your prayers. Though these are tough times I have so much to praise God for.

My son was Baptized this weekend and me and my husband were Chrismated the previous weekend. We are officially an Orthodox Christian family! Thank you to all who helped support our journey, your prayers and kindness has not gone in vain!

In other news my boy can walk and open doors now! Lol

And he has consolidated his day time napping meaning instead of two short naps he now just takes one long nap. This may not seem like news but it has been pretty awesome to get so much done in a large chunk of time during the day. I have even started writing my ebook on birth preparation again! For all you mamas out there wondering if that project is still happening. It is! I have just needed to pause for life to take on a flow that is compatible with writing more consistently.
