Press Release Regarding the False News about Daesh Detainees

Local media has reported false news about the SDF's intention to release more than 700 Daesh and local agents mercenaries from prisons in north and eastern Syria. They attached their false reports with lists of names claiming to be for Daesh detainees. We confirm that the news and the lists of names are false, untrue, and have not been issued by relevant official bodies in the north and eastern Syria.

The SDF reiterates its call for the international community to establish a special international tribunal in north and eastern Syria to try Daesh elements, achieve justice, and ensure redress for victims. The SDF calls on all countries that have nationals in the Autonomous Administration's prisons to cooperate and deal seriously with this file, and it underscores the seriousness of this issue which has turned into the most incitement propaganda for Daesh in recruiting more terrorists and conducting terrorist acts, posing a threat to local and global peace and security.

65-year-old Khaleda Ibrahim, who suffers from several diseases.
She was kidnapped for 223 days in the prisons of the mercenaries of the Syrian National Army supported by the Turkish occupation in #Afrin and was tortured.

Violations of the Turkish occupation against the archaeological hill of Alamdara.


The hill is located north of Alamdara village, 1.5 km away, next to the next public road from the center of Rajo district, and about 30 km northwest of Afrin city center, northwest of the city. It is one of the hills not registered in the restrictions of the Syrian Antiquities Directorate. Planted with perennial olive trees.

After the Turkish occupation of the Syrian Afrin region, the hill was subjected to large sabotage excavations with heavy machinery, according to satellite images dating back to (8/7/2019 and 28/9/2019), which worked to raze and excavate the archaeological hill and destroy its archaeological layers, in addition to uprooting the perennial olive trees in The southern end of the hill, and it is worth noting that we do not know anything about the nature of the artifacts and materials extracted from the hill and how they were disposed of by the occupation authorities and the factions loyal to it.

Some media outlets disseminated grossly false news and information about a supposed infiltration claimed to be conducted by our forces, targeting a base of Turkish occupation in Aziza, northern countryside of Tal Tamir.
We confirm that this news is grossly false, and our forces have not conducted any operation in that area over the past few days.

The media also claimed that our forces, enabled by the international coalition forces against Daesh, conducted sweep operations in the Derik/Malikiah area, searching for people supposed to have conducted a fake attack against a convoy belonging to the international coalition against Daesh. We confirm that this information is false, and our forces have not conducted any sweep operation, nor has any international coalition convoy been attacked in that area during recent years till the moment.

Turkish-backed Syrian National Army militants arrested 6 in Afrin region, in Aleppo governorate, during the past hours.
Usually, the militants break into homes of the civilians, loot and vandalize their belongings, and arrest them.
