On December 21, in conjunction with the bombardment by the Turkish occupation, the mercenary groups affiliated with Turkey launched several ground attacks targeting a number of Tel Tamer villages, where the fighters of the Tel Tamer Military Council thwarted all those attacks.

After that, the occupation carried out heavy artillery and tank shelling targeting the town of Zarkan and its villages, as well as the villages of the Tel Tamer. The shelling included the villages of Ain al-Hawa, Rabi’at, Asadiya, Hamra, Aziziyah, Umm el-Kef, Um Ashbah, Daoudia, Tal Shanan, Tawila, Tel Tewil, and Tel al-Ward, Bouba, Khidraoui, and Bassis Al-Fawqani. As a result of the Turkish bombardment, on December 21 and 22, four civilians were killed and 14 others were wounded, and 3 soldiers of the Syrian regime were wounded.

On December 22, at nine o'clock in the morning, our forces responded to the attempts of the mercenaries of the Turkish occupation to penetrate the vicinity of Umm el Kef village "north of Tal Tamr", where violent clashes erupted, 3 mercenaries were killed.

Simultaneously, the Ministry of Defense of the Turkish occupation state claimed that on December 22, 10 of our fighters were martyred, and on December 22, two others were martyred. Through these allegations and lies, the Turkish occupation state is trying to falsify the facts and show the civilians who were martyred and injured as fighters. Thus, it is trying to deceive public opinion and justify its attacks. However, it has become clear that the party that is violating international understandings and laws of war is the Turkish army and its mercenaries.
