"The Other Side of the River" wins German Film Prize

The documentary "The Other Side of the River" by director Antonia Kilian about the life of Hala, who leaves Manbij and her ISIS-sympathetic family to go to an Asayîş women's unit, has won the German Film Prize.

The German Film Prize was awarded for the 72nd time in Berlin last week. It is the most prestigious award and the most valuable cultural award for German cinema. The prize in the Best Documentary category went to director Antonia Kilian for her film “The Other Side of the River”.

Badran Chiya Kurd: Madrid Agreement hostile to Kurds

Badran Chiya Kurd said that the tripartite agreement signed in the Spanish capital Madrid is hostile to the Kurdish people.

Deputy Co-chair of the ExCo of the AANES Badran Chiya Kurd in a statement made to the Rojava F.M. Radio said:

''they have agreed to antagonise the Kurds. Erdogan has always sought to create regional and global grounds for carrying out an attack on our regions or even in Southern Kurdistan, the Medya Defense Zones or against Shingal.

''He is determined to carry out an attack whatever it scale be. To cover his failures on the resistance fronts and to cover his interior crisis and to exploit the world preoccupation with the crisis in Ukraine and to exploit the Russian situation he tries by every possible means to pass on his bargains with the concerned countries with our regions.

''These threats are according to bargains and plots against our people and its presence. This is the strategy of the ruling authorities in Turkey. ''
