ISIS cell is linked to attack on Ql-Raqqa, arrested

The Internal Security Forces announced the arrest of an ISIS cell in connection with the attack that targeted the center of power in the city of Raqqa, and seized materials for making explosives.

#SDF: Our Forces Dismantle An ISIS Cell In Deir Ezzor Eastern Countryside

SDF: In the framework of our continuous operations against ISIS cells, our Counter-terrorism Units (YAT), with the participation of the international coalition, conducted a security operation against an ISIS cell in Deir Ezzor’s eastern countryside.
Our forces spotted an ISIS cell in the al-Shahil district involved in recruiting terrorists and providing field and logistical support for the ISIS terrorist cells in the region.
On December 21, 2023, our forces conducted a two-phase operation, starting with an airdrop, and imposing a security cordon on the place where the cell was hiding. The operation resulted in arresting a senior ISIS leader along with two other operatives and confiscated the following:
-Glock pistol /1/
-AK-47 /1/
-Smartphones /4/
Our anti-terrorism operations will continue against ISIS terrorist cells in the region to achieve the enduring defeat of ISIS and maintain safety and security.

Dismantling An ISIS Cell In Raqqa City

SDF: As part of Operation Retaliation for Raqqa Martyrs, the Joint Forces, enabled by Coalition’s airpower, raided the hideouts of ISIS cells in Raqqa city, arresting two ISIS terrorists who facilitated ISIS terrorist acts and concealed one of the terrorists who attacked the center of the Internal Security Forces in the al-Dariyah neighborhood last month, which caused the martyrdom of six ISF and SDF fighters.

The two arrested terrorists, Ahmed Eid al-Abed and Kasir Idan al-Abed joined ISIS in 2016 and swore allegiance again late last year.

They confessed to their involvement in attempting to conceal and rescue the wounded ISIS terrorist who attacked the ISF center. They were in direct contact with the Wali (governor) of the so-called Wilayah al-Raqqa.

Operation Retaliation For Raqqa Martyrs, Day Three: 32 Terrorists And Suspects Arrested

SDF: Within the framework of Operation Retaliation for Raqqa Martyrs launched by our forces with the participation of the Internal Security Forces and the International Coalition, the joint forces intensified search and sweep operations in the areas of al-Karama, Sarren, and al-Mansoura.

During yesterday’s sweep operations conducted in the three mentioned areas, the joint forces arrested 32 terrorists and suspects, including two ISIS terrorists who facilitated the terrorist acts and concealed the terrorists who attacked the center of the Internal Security Forces in the Dariyah neighborhood last month, which caused the martyrdom of six fighters from the Syrian Democratic Forces and Internal Security Forces. Weapons, ammunition, and documents were also confiscated during the operations.
🗣 In the presence of a representative of the Arab League, six recommendations were identified to confront the demographic change in Syria

The final statement of a symposium in which the League of Arab States participated in recommended that all Syrian and Arab efforts should be combined for confronting attempts to change the demographic reality in Syria and for the importance of restoring the Arab role as a support for the Syrian cause and the unity of the Syrian national state.

Recommendations serve as a roadmap for action

The symposium was concluded by agreeing on six recommendations as a roadmap for action to confront the processes of demographic change in Syria.

These recommendations came according to the following order:

Firstly, the call for an intra-Syrian dialogue to discuss the national agenda, provided that it is under the auspices of the League of Arab States.

Secondly, emphasizing the importance of restoring the Arab role as a supportive for the Syrian cause and the unity of the Syrian national state.

Thirdly, the importance of concerted Syrian and Arab efforts for confronting attempts to change the Syrian demographic reality.

Fourthly, the call to emphasize the stability of the principle of the Syrian national state, with the importance of preserving the privacy of religious and ethnic beliefs, and the right to political representation for all in accordance with the principle of equality and political justice.

Fifthly, demanding for the speedy departure of all foreign forces from Syrian territory.

Sixthly, launching an international public relations campaign for the Syrian Democratic Council to address and confront false speeches that attempt to distort the image of the Council and link it abroad, and to develop a clear media discourse for the Council’s orientations and its Syrian national goals.

Operation Retaliation For Raqqa Martyrs: Six ISIS Terrorists Arrested

SDF: Within the framework of Operation Retaliation for Raqqa Martyrs launched by the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), Internal Security Forces (ISF), and with effective participation by the Women’s Protection Units (YPJ), sweep and search operations are conducted at a high frequency and for the fourth day in a row in the Raqqa city and its countryside and the towns of Mansoura and Sarren and their countrysides.

Yesterday, the joint forces arrested six terrorists, including one terrorist involved in hiding and sheltering the terrorist cell that attacked the western center of the Internal Security Forces late last December,

Operation Retaliation For Raqqa Martyrs Continues In Raqqa And Tabqa

#SDF: For the fifth day in a row, the joint forces in Operation Retaliation for Raqqa Martyrs continue the sweep operations in the Euphrates region.

Yesterday, the forces completed sweeping the neighborhoods of Euphrates, Nazlat Shahada, and al-Kournish in Raqqa city, in addition to the al-Safsafa town in the eastern countryside of Tabqa, and arrested three #ISIS terrorists and seized several weapons, ammunition, and booklets on extremism and ISIS badges.

This morning, the forces began sweeping Tabqa city and The Kurds’ Neighborhood on the northern side of Raqqa city. The Operation is still ongoing.
