Escapism springs from weakness.
The botched collapse before their internal tension even approaches the conditions for greatness.

“I come again with this sun, with this earth, with this eagle, with this serpent—not to a new life or a better life or a similar life: I come again eternally to this selfsame life, in its greatest and its smallest, to teach again the eternal recurrence of all things, to speak again the word of the great noontide of earth and man, to tell man of the Superman: once more to tell you, my friends, that I come—the Superman is the meaning of the earth. Let your will say: the Superman shall be the meaning of the earth!”

“We must learn to love, learn to be kind, and this from the earliest youth; if education or chance give us no opportunity to practice these feelings, our soul becomes dry and unsuited even to understanding the tender inventions of loving people.”

“I do not see why man should not be just as cruel as nature.”

This is a dumb quote.
Does it seem like something he would say? Kinda.
Is there a definitive primary source that shows him saying this? No. Not in Mein Kampf or any other trannoscript.
I am not surprised when humans are cruel or behave like unthinking animals. It does disappoint me, however.
I actually do see why we shouldn’t be as cruel as nature and I also know that we can be much more compassionate than raw nature.
We don’t kill and eat our young. We want to help the poor kitten we see in the box on the side of the road, we don’t see it as prey. It’s in our nature to be kind, actually.
We are thinking beings capable of immense compassion and love. Quotes like this are not only falsely attributed but also try to justify some weird desires and dark fantasies.

The Higher Man's advent is nigh. Out of necessity he shall emerge a mighty blaze from a dormant fire, come to shake the heavens and earth in his wake.
This man of tomorrow is merry creator, yet unflinching destroyer. He is king, lord and master of duality, which floats like an orb above the palm of his hand.
He goes about singing like a drunk god or a carefree child, yet his soul's eyes have seen the void of the bottomless abyss.
And it is because he has walked through the fiery gates of great suffering, and ventured into the darkest territories of human experience, that he emerged as something more than human.
He is like a resplendent serpent that has cast off its redundant, dead old skin. Like the formidable phoenix rising from its ashes. Nature's crowning jewel, terrible and magnificent, marching on into the morrow a forerunner of a newborn species, tall and proud, come to greet the rising dawn.
He goes about upon this earth a conqueror of sorrow, pain and death. All these things seem to him but a distant memory to which he laughs, and laughs some more.

Power is not an external aim.
The will which is directed towards expansion and incorporation is entirely internal, it is that which is directed in absolute synthesis with the directedness itself, and not anything which is not currently active.
