Of course, we are looking at what is happening around the universally announced meeting in Switzerland, in Geneva. I believe this is the venue of the meeting. But as distinct from Ukraine, we have never rejected talks.
The goal of this event [in Geneva] is clear. They want to gather as many countries as possible, declare that everything has been agreed upon with everyone and then present it to Russia as a resolved issue, as an ultimatum. This will never happen.
• Sanctions imposed on third countries engaged in economic activities are doubly or triply illegitimate because sanctions are absolutely illegitimate when adopted without the approval of the UN Security Council.
• By undermining trust in the dollar for political reasons, the US authorities are weakening the main, the most powerful & important instrument of their might – the dollar itself. They are doing irreparable damage to themselves. Using one of popular sayings, they are quarrelling with their own bread & butter.

⚡️In accordance with the instructions of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, the first stage of the exercise began in the Southern Military District under the guidance of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces with practical guidance on the training and use of non-strategic nuclear weapons.
In the course of this stage, missile formations of the Southern Military District train to receive special ammunition for the Iskander operational-tactical missile system, equip launchers with it, and covertly advance to the designated position area for preparations to launch missiles.
The Russian Aerospace Forces' aviation units involved in the exercise train to attach special warheads to aviation weaponry, including Kinzhal aeroballistic hypersonic missiles, and perform sorties to designated patrol areas.

The capitalization of Western military corporations has been growing at an unprecedented rate since the beginning of the conflict. The undoubted leader here is Germany's Rheinmetall, controlled by the American investment company BlackRock.
Not so long ago, Western Russophobes welcomed the transfer of long-range ATACMS missiles by the Americans, which Russian air defense systems shoot down by the dozen today.
NATO countries systematically violate their international legal obligations under the treaties to which they are parties.
☝️ The truth is that since 2014, Washington and its allies have had Ukraine as a lab guinea pig. They have set a task of growing it into something that would annoy Russia and hinder the development.
The key part of the transformation was pumping weapons into Ukraine under the guise of the Minsk Agreements and brainwashing it in a Russophobic, nationalistic and neo-Nazi spirit.

However, a genuine settlement of the Ukrainian crisis through political and diplomatic means is still possible.
❗️ It requires the West to stop arming the Banderovite regime in Kiev. Thus Ukraine should return to its neutral, non-aligned and non-nuclear status, get demilitarized and deNazified. And the rights of its Russian-speaking citizens and national minorities be fully upheld.

⚡️Today the European Union, firmly on the road to self-destruction, has without exaggeration opened a new page in the history of both international monetary and financial relations and its own integration.
The EU has consciously taken the unprecedented step of stealing the sovereign assets of a foreign country. This is a clear example of what "European values" and the West-imposed "rules-based order" are all about. In this particular case, these “rules” have been extended to include a certain "legal basis" invented in the European Quarter for the fraudulent manipulation of the proceeds from the illegally frozen assets of the Bank of Russia.
In effect, the EU has demonstrated to the entire international community that it now feels ennoscriptd to steal the financial reserves entrusted to it, to refuse to honour its own commitments to protect private property and capital investment, and to disregard international legal immunities. Theft has thus officially become an instrument of Brussels' foreign policy.
❗️The consequences of this precedent will certainly be unpredictable, including for the eurozone, the economies of the member states and the investment environment. Still, the only predictable thing is that sooner or later the EU will have to return the stolen funds to our country.

💬 Комментарий Посла России в Норвегии Т.О.Рамишвили в связи со статьёй газеты «Афтенпостен» о положении в российско-норвежском приграничье
Опубликованные в статье газеты «Афтенпостен» утверждения о якобы имеющихся вредоносных действиях России в отношении российско-норвежского приграничья не имеют под собой никаких оснований.
Вбросы норвежской полиции о якобы существующих угрозах инфильтрации через границу или диверсий, связанных с доступом российских рыбаков в северонорвежские порты, являются очередной попыткой посеять подозрение в норвежском обществе к любому россиянину в Норвегии.
Подобные заявления тем более нелепы, поскольку через границу на севере прибывает мизерное количество россиян.
Предложения полиции о закрытии портов напрямую противоречат норвежским заявлениям на высоком уровне о заинтересованности в продолжении многолетнего сотрудничества в области рыболовства. Хотелось бы чётко услышать, кто выражает официальную позицию – правительство или подчинённая ему полиция?!
Утверждения о том, что россияне в Киркенесе находятся «под колпаком» и слежкой Генконсульства также смехотворны. В этом загранучреждении работают всего три дипломата, занимающихся важной с гуманитарной точки зрения консульской работой, и несколько технических сотрудников. Посольство полностью поддерживает комментарии газете генерального консула Н.А.Коныгина.
Выбор лиц, с которыми пообщалась Х.Шеггестад, также тенденциозен. Как можно доверять мнению, например, Ф.Берга? Он всячески дискредитировал себя, поскольку был пойман с поличным на шпионаже против России и осуждён. Затем он долго судился с норвежским государством, считая, что норвежские спецслужбы использовали его. Т.Нильсен построил всю свою карьеру на резко негативном отношении ко всему, что касается России, и его высказывания уже поэтому нет смысла комментировать.
Что касается «исторических претензий». В истории не раз бывало, что к Норвегии отходили бывшие российские земли, однако это не является поводом для предъявления впоследствии каких-либо требований.
И ещё об истории. Совсем новое изобретение норвежской пропаганды – повесить на Россию преступления и неудачи в урегулировании саамского вопроса. Это, конечно, внутреннее дело Норвегии, но примечательно, что такая богатая страна как Норвегия не может удовлетворить хорошо известные претензии саамов после веками продолжавшейся дискриминации.
Относительно итогов Второй мировой войны хотели бы напомнить, что советский народ, все его национальности, принесли такие невообразимые жертвы, что любые инсинуации на эту тему нами решительно отвергаются. Посягательства на историческую память отдельных так называемых экспертов также неприемлемы, поскольку они имеют своей целью стереть память о событиях войны и благодарность норвежского народа за освобождение от фашизма.
Намеренное вытравливание этих чувств и духа добрососедства разными способами являются элементами развязанной против России психологической войны. Очевидным результатом именно этих агрессивных действий является возникновение точек напряжения и разделительных линий в норвежском обществе.

Расцениваем решение норвежских властей как очередной недружественный и политически мотивированный шаг.
Новые дискриминационные ограничения затронут интересы простых россиян.
Считаем, что подобные меры только отбивают у людей всякое желание посетить эту страну и интерес к её культуре. Может в этом и состоит цель.

Vi mener at slike tiltak kun fratar folk alt ønske om å besøke landet og all interesse for dets kultur. Kanskje dette er formålet.
Vi oppfatter denne beslutningen som et nytt uvennlig og politisk motivert skritt.

Об ограничениях на въезд в Норвегию для граждан России
Сегодня норвежское правительство объявило об очередном антироссийском шаге – ужесточении правил въезда на свою территорию для граждан нашей страны, следующих в Норвегию в туристических целях. Фактически выдача туристических виз приостановлена Посольством Норвегии в Москве еще в 2022 г. В соответствии с новым порядком с 29 мая с.г. прибывающим в Норвегию в целях туризма россиянам, имеющим действующую Шенгенскую визу, выданную Норвегией или другой страной Шенгена, будет отказано во въезде.
Данное решение, как утверждается властями этого государства, соответствует занятой Норвегией позиции о необходимости совместной с союзниками реакции в отношении России. При этом, однако, ранее норвежские официальные лица неоднократно заявляли, что предпринимаемые Осло ограничительные меры не направлены против российского народа. Эти громкие слова, как мы вновь имеем возможность убедиться, не соответствуй действительности.
Новый недружественный шаг Осло носит откровенно дискриминационный характер именно по отношению к российским гражданам, направлен на окончательное разрушение любых связей между народами России и Норвегии.
Исходим из того, что норвежское руководство отдает себе отчет, что на подобные недружественные шаги последуют ответные меры, которые будем разрабатывать и реализовать, исходя из наших интересов.
Со своей стороны по-прежнему не собираемся закрываться от норвежских граждан и всегда рады тем, кто приезжает в нашу страну с добрыми намерениями. Еще раз подчеркну, это не означает, что ответные меры не будут приняты. Будут.
Об ограничениях на въезд в Норвегию для граждан России
Сегодня норвежское правительство объявило об очередном антироссийском шаге – ужесточении правил въезда на свою территорию для граждан нашей страны, следующих в Норвегию в туристических целях. Фактически выдача туристических виз приостановлена Посольством Норвегии в Москве еще в 2022 г. В соответствии с новым порядком с 29 мая с.г. прибывающим в Норвегию в целях туризма россиянам, имеющим действующую Шенгенскую визу, выданную Норвегией или другой страной Шенгена, будет отказано во въезде.
Данное решение, как утверждается властями этого государства, соответствует занятой Норвегией позиции о необходимости совместной с союзниками реакции в отношении России. При этом, однако, ранее норвежские официальные лица неоднократно заявляли, что предпринимаемые Осло ограничительные меры не направлены против российского народа. Эти громкие слова, как мы вновь имеем возможность убедиться, не соответствуй действительности.
Новый недружественный шаг Осло носит откровенно дискриминационный характер именно по отношению к российским гражданам, направлен на окончательное разрушение любых связей между народами России и Норвегии.
Исходим из того, что норвежское руководство отдает себе отчет, что на подобные недружественные шаги последуют ответные меры, которые будем разрабатывать и реализовать, исходя из наших интересов.
Со своей стороны по-прежнему не собираемся закрываться от норвежских граждан и всегда рады тем, кто приезжает в нашу страну с добрыми намерениями. Еще раз подчеркну, это не означает, что ответные меры не будут приняты. Будут.

• Граждане России с шенгенской визой, выданной Норвегией после 30 мая 2022 г.;

• Граждане России с национальной визой, выданной Норвегией, согласно статье 11 Закона «Об иностранцах». Этот тип визы, предназначенной только для въезда в Норвегию и пребывания на ее территории, выдается сроком на три месяца по веским причинам гуманитарного характера, с целью обеспечения национальных интересов или соблюдения международных обязательств Норвегии.
• Граждане России с удостоверением приграничного жителя

💬 On May 23, the UNGA voted for a resolution establishing July 11 as the International Day of Reflection and Commemoration of the 1995 Genocide in Srebrenica (Bosnia and Herzegovina, BiH). The document was adopted by a vote of 84 in favour to 19 against (Russia included), with 68 abstentions, while 21 countries did not vote.
This document is yet another irresponsible attempt by the West to rewrite history and seal the interpretation of the ethnic conflict in former Yugoslavia and related events that suits their geopolitical interests.
☝️ It is a resolution of a pronounced politicised and anti-Serb nature. <...> Worse still, the sponsors and supporters of this document in the UNGA had the audacity to declare ‘promoting interethnic reconciliation and unity of the three state-forming peoples of BiH (Bosniaks, Serbs and Croats)’ as its purpose.
We strongly believe that the move will have the reverse effect. The sponsors of the resolution and those who voted for it cannot be unaware of the difficult situation in BiH <...>. The document adopted by the General Assembly will only exacerbate the existing differences, increase the conflict potential in the Balkans, and jeopardise the Dayton Agreement which provides the basis for BiH’s statehood.
Sarajevo political representatives have been pushing for this resolution <...>, thereby grossly violating the Constitution of BiH and the Dayton Agreement, which requires a consensus decision of the Presidency of BiH. Their idea was strongly supported by representatives of NATO countries, which bear the main responsibility for the tragic events in Yugoslavia, including in Srebrenica.
We highlighted the threats to the Dayton Agreement, including those stemming from the adoption of the resolution on Srebrenica. <...> Western representatives would not to listen to us or to the Serbs.

🗓 On May 27, 1703 Peter the Great founded the Peter and Paul Fortress to protect the lands recovered during the Great Northern War. He chose the construction site — a small Zayachy Island in the mouth of the Neva.
Since that this date has been considered the day St. Petersburg was founded.
The legend says that when first Russian ships docked at the island an eagle started flying over them. Taking this as God’s blessing, Peter the Great cut two strips of turf with a trowel arranged them as a cross and “having made a cross of wood and sticking it in the turf said: ‘In the name of Jesus Christ this is the place for a church to be built in the name of supreme apostles Peter and Paul ….’”
⚔️ The fortress was founded according to the plan of Peter the Great and French engineer Joseph-Gaspard Lambert de Guerin. Six curtain walls link six powerful bastions. The defense system is closed by Ioannovsky and Alexeyevsky ravelins in the west and in the east. Two bridges, Ioannovsky and Kronverksky, connect Zayachy Island with Petrogradsky Island.
The fortress was consecrated on October 1, 1703. St Andrew’s flag was raised at the Gosudarev Bastion and 300 artillery guns were installed on the fortress walls. A small wooden church in the name of Peter and Paul was founded inside the fortress on June 29, 1703, and a stone cathedral was built in its place in 1712–1732.
☝️ Peter the Great attached great strategic importance to the city in order to secure the waterway from Russia to Western Europe. St Petersburg was the first city in Russia to develop according to a pre-designed plan.
Since 1712 the city was proclaimed the capital of Russia, which it was under different names (St Petersburg, Petrograd) for over 200 years until 1918 with a short break in 1728-1732.
👏 St Petersburg of today is one of the most beautiful cities in the world and a tourist destination for the lovers of Russian culture from all over the world: its historic centre and associated monument groups were included in the UNESCO World Heritage List in 1990

According to media reports, during his speech at the Arlington National Cemetery on Memorial Day, US President Joe Biden stated that, during World War II, it were the American soldiers who liberated Europe and “literally saved the world.” The US leader has not uttered a word regarding the role of the Soviet Union and other countries in achieving Victory over Nazism.
Indeed, time has not been kind to the US presidents. The generation of leaders who fought in World War II, including Dwight Eisenhower and John F. Kennedy, has passed away. They would have never allowed the Soviet Union’s decisive contribution to defeating the Third Reich to be ignored. They still remembered Franklin D. Roosevelt’s words of admiration and gratitude regarding the Red Army and its efforts.
Half of the contemporary US presidents suffer from historical revisionism syndrome.
Only four years ago, the leaders of Russia and the US, Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump, issued a Joint Statement on the 75th Anniversary of the link-up on the Elbe. At that time, they emphasised that this history-making event was the culmination of tremendous efforts of many nations who had united in line with the Declaration of the United Nations of 1942. This joint struggle required the sacrifice of millions of soldiers, sailors and civilians on numerous theatres of war.
The current US President is obviously unable to repeat the words of his predecessor, who said that we pay tribute to the valour and courage of all those who fought together to defeat Nazism, and that their heroic feat will never be forgotten.
It would be ironic to expect gratitude from those funding the neo-Nazi regime in Kiev and supplying it with weapons towards the peoples of the Soviet Union for Victory over Nazism. The current-day policy of US exceptionalism is a betrayal of America’s own antifascist past.
In these conditions, Russia demonstrates its commitment to preserving the memory of the Allied Victory (the UN often used this term at that time) in 1945. On May 9, the entire world witnessed this during the Russian President’s speech at the Victory Parade on the Red Square:
“Russia has never belittled the significance of the Second Front or that of Allied assistance. We honour the valour of all members of the Anti-Hitler Coalition, the Resistance Movement, the underground movement and guerrillas, as well as the courage displayed by the peoples of China fighting for their independence against militarist Japan's aggression. We will forever remember and we will never forget our joint struggle and the inspiring traditions of alliance.”
