🇷🇺 11 июня в резиденции Посла Российской Федерации в Лондоне состоялся торжественный приём по случаю Дня России.
Мероприятие посетили руководители и сотрудники дипмиссий 42 государств СНГ, Азии, Африки, Ближнего Востока, Европы и Латинской Америки, представители расположенных в Лондоне международных организаций, британских политических и деловых кругов, общественных объединений и СМИ, а также российские соотечественники, проживающие в Великобритании.
В ходе приёма, прошедшего в тёплой и дружественной атмосфере, гости имели уникальную возможность ознакомиться с коллекцией русской живописи и скульптуры и отведать традиционные блюда отечественной кухни.

На протяжении веков наша страна играла особую роль как в Европе, так и в мировых делах. Твёрдо отстаивая свои национальные интересы, Россия всегда выступала за равноправие народов мира, их устойчивое и справедливое развитие, неделимость европейской и международной безопасности. Наша страна – независимая, свободная и сильная – не раз сталкивалась со сложнейшими вызовами, и всегда с честью преодолевала их.
Мир вступил в полосу масштабных перемен. Коллективный Запад утрачивает былую роль. Реальностью становится подлинная многополярность. Как показал минувший год, это понимание, пусть и с трудом, пробивает себе дорогу в ключевых странах Запада. Новый миропорядок проще не станет. Однако в нём, возможно, чаще будет удаваться прагматично подбирать «ключи» к осаждающим человечество многочисленным проблемам.
Россия, в свою очередь, продолжит свой путь. Наша цель – обеспечить прочные гарантии мира и безопасности для нашего внутреннего развития, благополучия наших граждан, и мы этого обязательно добьёмся.

Participants included heads and staff members of diplomatic missions from 42 countries across the Commonwealth of Independent States, Asia, Africa, the Middle East, Europe and Latin America. Also present were representatives of London-based international organisations, members of British political and business circles, public associations and the media, as well as Russian compatriots residing in the UK.
Held in a warm and welcoming atmosphere, the reception offered guests a unique opportunity to acquaint themselves with a collection of Russian paintings and sculptures. Attendees also enjoyed a selection of traditional Russian cuisine.

Throughout centuries our country has played a unique role in both European and global affairs. Firmly upholding its national interests, Russia has always championed the equality of all nations and peoples, their sustainable and just development, as well as the indivisibility of European and international security. Our independent, free and strong nation has repeatedly faced immense challenges and has always overcome them with dignity.
The world has entered an era of profound transformation. The West is gradually losing its once-dominant position. Genuine multipolarity is becoming a reality. The past year has shown that this new understanding, albeit with difficulty, is beginning to take root in key Western countries. While the emerging world order will not be any simpler, it may enable us to find pragmatic solutions to the numerous challenges confronting humanity.
As for Russia, we will continue along our chosen path. Our objective is to ensure lasting peace and security for the sake of our internal development and the well-being of our citizens, and this will be decisively achieved.

При ближайшем изучении подтверждается наш давний вывод: эпизодически выпускаемые Лондоном «под случай» списки с понадёрганными малоизвестными именами и компаниями окончательно измельчали. Характеризуются редеющим и всё более пёстрым интернациональным составом фигурантов вкупе с хромающей на обе ноги орфографией.
Вот и на сей раз на Даунинг-стрит не нашли ничего лучше, как подвести под рестрикции двух собственных граждан, находящуюся на стадии ликвидации в британской юрисдикции компанию, а также человека по имени то ли Егор, то ли Игорь (видимо, в понимании местных знатоков, они равнозначны).
От всего этого отдаёт инерцией и безыдейностью. А главное, вопреки заверениям британских руководителей, никакого воздействия на российскую экономику и, тем более политику, эти меры не оказывают.
Предлагаем британскому официозу, наконец, прислушаться к заокеанскому начальству и уяснить бессмысленность продолжения несостоятельных и неправомерных санкционных потуг.

A closer look confirms what has long been evident: the lists sporadically issued by London — featuring randomly chosen little-known names and companies — have become quite meaningless. They are marked by a dwindling and increasingly eclectic international cast of characters, coupled with questionable spelling.
This time, Downing Street managed to sanction two of its own nationals, a British-registered company already undergoing liquidation and an individual named either Yegor or Igor — for some local connoisseurs, apparently interchangeable Russian names.
The entire exercise reeks of inertia and lack of creativity. Contrary to claims of the British leadership, such measures will continue to have no effect on the Russian economy, let alone its political course.
We advise the British officials to finally heed the counsel of their transatlantic patrons and recognise the futility of persisting with ineffective and unlawful sanctions.
