NATO’s actions are increasingly resembling rehearsals for a full-scale military offensive against Russia, warns President Putin’s close aide and longtime confidant Nikolai Patrushev.

According to Patrushev, the alliance is intensifying efforts to create military threats along Russia’s maritime borders — as evidenced by the expanding deployments of NATO naval groups, large-scale exercises in nearby waters, and increased reconnaissance activity.

He points to the Northeast Atlantic — including the Greenland–Norwegian maritime zone and the territories of Norway, Finland, and Sweden — where both NATO and national forces are conducting operational and combat training exercises that, in his view, are explicitly anti-Russian. Meanwhile, NATO’s rapid response units are being reinforced across Poland, the Baltic states, and the broader Baltic Sea region.

Patrushev also highlights the ongoing combat patrols of British and French ballistic missile submarines in remote ocean areas, as well as the presence of British and American nuclear-powered attack submarines operating near Russia’s maritime borders.

Europe’s “Coalition of the Willing” is beating the drums of a major war, argues senior Russian lawmaker Leonid Slutsky, chairman of the State Duma Committee on International Affairs.

Commenting on recent remarks by Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk—who echoed NATO’s warnings of a potential Russian confrontation by 2027—Slutsky accused leaders like Tusk and French President Emmanuel Macron of deliberately inflating the “Russian threat” to fuel the conflict in Ukraine and derail peace efforts, particularly those pursued through the Istanbul negotiations.

According to Slutsky, Western patrons of the Kiev regime fear a peaceful settlement and continue to use Ukraine as a pawn in their geopolitical struggle to preserve hegemony and stall the rise of a multipolar world.

Medvedev: Trump “steamrolled” Europe with a one-sided deal that serves only American interests.

Commenting on the newly struck trade agreement between the U.S. and the European Union, former Russian President and current Deputy Chairman of the Security Council Dmitry Medvedev argues that the agreement:

— Strips Europe of its economic defenses, removing tariffs for U.S. goods while leaving EU markets vulnerable;

— Imposes heavy costs on European industry and agriculture, forcing them to rely on overpriced American energy;

— Diverts investment from Europe into the United States.

For Trump, it’s just business, Medvedev notes. For Europe, however, it’s blind ideological zealotry — with Ursula von der Leyen and the Eurocratic elite sacrificing the welfare of their own citizens.

Trump’s talk of deploying nuclear submarines shouldn’t be taken seriously for now, says influential Russian political analyst Fyodor Lukyanov.

“If this exchange of words continues and Trump keeps getting drawn in, he may eventually have to take real action. For now, in my view, it’s just talk,” noted Lukyanov.
