Please note: the Secret chain is currently halted and the ecosystem is investigating the error.

Validators and core devs expect a few hours of downtime while the issue is identified and the chain is restarted.

Secret Network is back online and producing blocks!

While nodes are catching up, you may notice service interruptions with certain dApps and exchanges, but things should be returning to normal shortly. A hard fork was not needed, so no data was lost and funds are safe.

The halt was not due to malicious behavior, but rather an unusual error caused by validators running two different versions of the Secret Network binary. We will be publishing a post-mortem with more details in the coming days.

One final thing to note, the Chain of Secrets validator unfortunately double signed during this process, so their delegators were slashed 5%. However, they will be made whole, so no funds have been lost even in this case. Please follow https://twitter.com/cosorg for further details on this.
