ENIGMA TEAM UPDATES:

1) We are expanding the one hour window for whitelisted members due to the volume of demand. We have not yet announced how long the new window will now be, but we are working to guarantee access to everyone on the whitelist.

2) There will be individual caps on contributions for whitelisted members. This is due to the volume of demand and our observations from previously successful token sales. We have not yet announced the size of the individual cap. Please stay tuned for this information as we audit our whitelist.

3) At this time, we have not contacted our whitelist with more information or confirmations. Please alert the Enigma team immediately of any messages asking for funds, private keys, or personal information.

To clarify: it is possible that contribution caps will not be the same for all individuals on our whitelist. We have not yet announced anything about the size of caps or how this would be determined. Please be patient as we work to secure our sale and maximize community participation.

Some important notes.
1) A portion of the stolen funds have been identified and frozen.
2) We will restore funds to everyone that lost money in this recent scam attempt after our token sale concludes. Contact tokensale@enigma.co if you believe you lost funds with all supporting information.
3) Enigma and several leading partners in the space are collaborating with an investigation led by a special cyber-crime division.

In addition: as of yesterday, we have completed and closed our presale for accredited investors after reaching our $20M contribution cap. Our presale was significantly oversubscribed, and we have had to turn down additional interest in order to ensure the full participation of our community. Our attention has fully turned now to our crowdsale on September 11 as we strengthen our security and work to reopen our Slack channel.

We've reopened Slack with additional security, including MetaCert. New registrations are still closed, but if you were previously active, you can log back in and participate in all our channels, including #dev and #trading. Thanks for your patience :)

If you see any suspicious activity on Slack, please report it to admins immediately. For now, any major announcements should only be trusted if you see them confirmed on Telegram and Twitter.

Although our whitelist is closed, *our whitelist waitlist remains open.* The whitelist is the only group that will have guaranteed access to the Enigma crowdsale. We will be removing names from our whitelist as we conduct an audit to ensure fairness for our community. When whitelist names are removed, we will add names from our waitlist. *The only way to join the whitelist at this time is to be upgraded from the waitlist.*

Don't worry.

We will be using the time of your first submission and also using the information (Slack or Telegram handle) from your most recent submission. @channel Important updates about the Enigma whitelist:

After many conversations with our community and our token sale partners, we have determined that there will be dynamic individual caps for our existing whitelist *based on time of registration.* While we are still determining the individual caps, we can say for certain that the maximum individual cap for the crowd sale would be less than $10,000 USD.

*What does this mean?*

- For each email address, we will look at the timestamp of your first submission to our whitelist. We will then use the most recent Slack and Telegram info you provided to verify your community account.
- This means if you submitted your whitelist application multiple times, you do not need to worry. You will keep your priority from your first submission.

*Why did we decide this?*

From the beginning, Enigma has had two primary goals: building a strong, committed community and holding a broad, fair, healthy crowd sale. This is the fairest model we have been able to determine for rewarding our committed community while maintaining broad participation. We’ve used other successful token sales, such as 0x, as a model in determining how to handle our crowd sale and whitelist.

*What next?*

There is nothing you need to do at this time. Enigma will reach out this week (but NOT today) to individuals who have been whitelisted. These individuals will then be asked to reconfirm their interest and will be informed of their individual cap. We will announce across all channels when we have sent this communication. After whitelisted individuals confirm their interest, we may upgrade members of the waitlist to the whitelist.

Remember, you do not need to be whitelisted to participate in our crowd sale. After the whitelist participation window closes, the Enigma token sale will be open to all. There will still be ENG tokens available after the whitelist window.
