PRAYER TO ST LUCY, PROTECTOR OF THE EYES
O St Lucy, you preferred to let your eyes be torn out instead of denying the faith and defiling your soul; and God, through an extraordinary miracle, replaced them with another pair of sound and perfect eyes to reward your virtue and faith, appointing you as the protector against eye diseases. I come to you for you to protect my eyesight and to heal the illness in my eyes.
O St Lucy, preserve the light of my eyes so that I may see the beauties of creation, the glow of the sun, the colour of the flowers and the smile of children.
Preserve also the eyes of my soul, the faith, through which I can know my God, understand His teachings, recognise His love for me and never miss the road that leads me to where you, St Lucy, can be found in the company of the angels and saints.

EMBER DAYS
This week is Ember Week, meaning that today, Friday, and Saturday are days of fasting and abstinence.
Abstinence at the main meal is not required on Saturday in England, Wales and Ireland.

This is why the SSPX is the standard. The FSSP is already buckling to pressure, the difference between them and the Novus Ordo will in the future be indistinguishable.
I have put off the winter fast too long. The sins of the world are great, our own imperfection offends God. Our people, whom we love, put their faith in Vice and political charlatans. Not only will they lose their countries, but they will lose their true home in heaven.
Let us not wait for the New Year to make resolutions. More prayer, more penance, more sacraments, more devotion, more discipline.

It’s hard to digest the concept that demons are real malevolent entities and not knowing or believing they exist only makes you more vulnerable, more liable to mistake their whispers and incitements as inspired by our own nature and as such are in greater danger of heeding them.
Imagine an unbelieving world in which the majority of people are passively and unknowingly lead by demons and the most powerful members of society were openly lead by demons whose names they pronounce.
Penance and prayer, to deny ourselves, to suffer gracefully, to suffer willingly these are our spiritual weapons against the eternal enemy.

In his recent letter to married couples Francis continues to push his idea about “the new role of the laity” and encourages married couples to get involved with leading the church. This is of course presumably directed at leftist innovators and not the hated traditionalists who he has continuously tried to punish by restricting the Latin Mass.
Liberals always lie, they always use rouses and scams to get their way, when they are afraid to be too bold they allow nebulous and amorphous declarations to serve as excuses for the worst of the laity to interpret at their will and so give them license to sin.

It is true that religion binds a people together, that the highest societies grow out of a unity of blood and faith but this should never be our focus. Christ is not important as a figurative icon to bring about unity, he is important because he is real, he is the only path to salvation, and to accept his love is the purpose of all human life, every other benefit is paltry compared to this and this should always be the focus.
Christ is always the way, even when following him does not seem expedient to our personal or political goals.
