When we live selfishly we will waste time because it only impacts us, there’s no ‘real’ consequences.
But, you need to shift gears into thinking how your energy impacts all those around you, those that will be BORNE FROM YOU.
In some small part you are a role model to everyone you see. You have an effect on them whether you realise it or not. Every time you order fast food you are making it more acceptable for your little brother to do the same..
You can inspire, be fit and strong and healthy, look beautiful, dress well, perform diligently at your work, care for others, reject degeneracy. This has a ripple effect because your energetic field permeates everyone you see and interact.
So the choice to reach for the Cheetos has a multitude of effects other than the calories you may think are ‘worth it’.
Think about the second and third order effects of not only on yourself, but your future lineage. This makes motivation unneeded once you truly internalise this.
I haven’t yet experienced fatherhood but every father that I’ve spoken to feels like their life didn’t start for real until the birth of their first child. A switch turns on in your brain as you are now living for more than yourself. Every decision you make impacts the success of your offspring. And yes, this is an inherently biological drive, but the principle is valid all the same.
Before the actual birth of your children, you are coding the epigenetics that will be passed down to them by what environment you give to your genes to express in a certain way.
If you are fat, you predispose your children to be fatter..
If you are smoking and drinking, this slows down their intelligence and impacts stress levels..
I’m not saying be 100% total clean and pure your whole life (respect to those that do), although I would recommend it for a long period before and during conception.
Keep in mind what is really at stake and make the correct choices that will have cascading effects down the line.
