Genuinely, within 6 months your life can be entirely different. As humans we make the mistake of experiencing the present and extrapolating that to be our unavoidable, entire future.

With a lot of ‘bad’ days strung together we can feel overwhelmed with the magnitude of our situation. In reality, a better perspective can be just one workout away, one conversation with a stranger can shift our trajectory, one small win is all it takes to ‘turn it all around’. Then, we feel the flame of hope for the future. Hope is KEY because It allows us the permission to expect good things.

Getting stuck in a ‘rut’ occurs because we perceive current negative experiences, we become used to them, and we being to EXPECT them. What we expect in the world, we will receive. No matter what happens to you, you have to perceive that in your mind as what was meant to happen, for your benefit, in order to put you onto the path you’re meant to be on.

What we perceive in our minds as negative feelings, as ‘depression’ are usually signals that what we are doing is currently not working well. It’s our deep intuition and knowledge telling us - HEY DUDE, THIS SUCKS. MIX SOMETHING UP. You gotta be true to yourself, start being honest with others.

Perhaps you need to look around you at who you’re spending your time with. Are you neglecting your own development because you are always saying Yes to other people, to their commitments - to the detriment of your own? The only real way you can reach the top is to have a core group of friends who are focused on similar things to you, and saying NO to the rest. It’s not an emotional or rude thing, it’s just the decision you have to make to stay sane in the pursuit of excellence. You cannot keep watering a withered, dead branch… you must prune it off, so that the rest of the plant can flourish.

You are totally in control of your life, it IS worth it, and you CAN succeed.
