Most snakebites happen for one reason 🐍 Snakes don’t chase you, but they will defend themselves if you surprise them. Here’s what to do if you spot a rattlesnake in tall grass (or any snake in the wild). Respect them, give them space, and they’ll usually move along.

Excerpt from "What Makes You Pagan" by CE
"I used to examine the various flowers blossoming around me. I looked at the veins in the petals, sometimes even under my little Fisher Price microscope. I noticed how the colors on the face of flower petals were iridescent in the sun. I loved how soft and silky flower petals are, and would even graze them gently across my lips to let the more sensitive skin feel the smooth softness of the petals.
Insects were a great interest and I was very happy to hold grasshoppers and crickets in my hands. There was a big fat toad who lived under the shrubs in the front whom I named Sam. I remember picking him up to bring to my dad to show him I’ve found Sam again.
What stands out to me in these memories is that I was a living resident of that space alongside these other living spirits who dwelt alongside of me. And, I really felt it."

"Tinkers and Tribalization" - an essay looking at Irish Travellers and other separatist groups to brainstorm survival strategies for ethnic European Pagan preservation.
Excerpt - "Irish Travellers have some group survival characteristics and practices which are worthy of studying.
The idea of a cant language for in-group communication which is mysterious to the outside world is one intriguing concept worthy of serious consideration.
We could take on board already burgeoning language movements like the Anglish language push.
However, anything that is in writing is discoverable by our hostile overlords. Perhaps a new secret noscript coupled with a robust oral tradition and memorization customs could assist here.
These are things that are more doable with an in-real-life, real world community."

"Tinkers and Tribalization" explores Irish Travellers and other separatist groups for insight on how we might separate as European pagan ethnic groups for survival.
With mysterious origins, there is reason to believe the Travellers may have been spurred to escape hostile foreign elite landowners.
Excerpt: "I could go more deeply into that hostile foreign regime. Like, for instance, the invading Norman elite’s suspicious alliance with Jewish bankers originating in medieval Rouen, France;
how the English aristocracy to this day retains strong Norman ancestry;
and how Cromwell, like William the Bastard, invited Jewish bankers back into England while terrorizing and enslaving the local inhabitants.
But, suffice it to say, I think we can learn something here. Are the things happening today unique in history?
Absolutely not. Same people, same maniacal aim of totalitarian control, same fight for independence and survival."

The Agoge of the Wild:
The Survival Ordeal That Forged a King
In the heart of the Hellenic world, a sacred rite of passage awaited the sons of warriors, a trial by wilderness, designed to incinerate the boy and give form to the man. Sent beyond the city with only a knife and a cloak, the youth entered the domain of wind, rock, and beast. Fear gripped him but he mastered it through breath, verse, and prayer to Apollo and Athena.
With disciplined focus, he kindled fire by bow drill, knapped a blade, stalked game under Artemis’s gaze, and sheltered against the elements. When the wolf came, it was met not with panic, but the cold clarity of the hunt, a swift, final confrontation.
He returned gaunt but unbroken, the wolf’s hide his proof: he had faced nature’s law, imposed his will and earned the right to command.

Gustaf Retzius wrote in his 1881 book Finland i Nordiska Museet that “the stone axe was in all likelihood known to ancient Finns, but the name of this implement has been lost”.
Elias Lönnrot, however, in his 1874 Suomalais-Ruotsalainen Sanakirja / Finskt-Svenskt Lexikon, casually records the Finnish word for a stone axe: kiura. He further gives kiuranen (“small stone axe”), and even throws in kiuraton (“without stone axe”) for good measure.
