These scans were taken from an original 1950s copy at the Science, Industry and Business Library branch of the New York Public Library in 2015!
It may be the last time the book was ever scanned, because that's what they told me when they let me scan it, but the Russians were sent the same book too, directly from the author who sacrificed a career teaching history of engineering to become a librarian himself, saving countless books from burning and theft in East Berlin before and after World War Two! The book is written in FOUR LANGUAGES, German, Russian, English and (I forget).
