In all fairness, I think that this much convolution within one persona, only speaks of one thing?
That it's a cover.
The people attributed to Hugo Talks, very likely haven't the first clue that they have been in the most part and a constructed lead line like this, can only indicate one thing? (in my opinion)

These videos about Hugo Talks being Spencer Bassett aka a musician called Flicker Rate have now been removed from YouTube due to a privacy objection.

From what I have found digging around, there is definitely a connection between Spencer Bassett / Flicker Rate and Hugo Talks, but I am wondering if Spencer Bassett's father John Bassett, another musician known as Arcade Messiah, may be a more likely candidate. He too is a musician and the family appear to have relocated together from Hastings to Sligo. Spencer Bassett is only 21 and it seems like too big an operation for someone so young to handle single-handedly. And some people think Hugo's voice sounds older than a 21 year old's. I wonder if there is a network involving both Spencer and John Bassett with possible researchers and noscript writers as well as a voice actor.

One of the connections between the Bassetts and Hugo Talks lies in the YouTube channel 'Intelligentsia' which is certainly a Hugo Talks production with his voice over and has a username of 'BandCamppostmetal'. Band Camp is promoted heavily on both the Flicker Rate and Arcade Messiah Twitter accounts. And the Flicker Rate YouTube channel was featured by Hugo Talks' 'Sound Bites' as a recommended channel.

On the Flicker Rate Twitter page, on 18th Feb 2017, Spencer Bassett is referred to by Martin Hutchinson as being a "chip off the old block". He links to one of Flicker Rate's YouTube videos which confirms, in the denoscription, that the track was mixed and mastered by John Bassett / Arcade Messiah.

Hugo Talks posts on his FB page as 'Hugo Waverley' and this person can also be found on archived pages as the creator of the Meghan and Harry news channel. And, despite removing all the old videos from the channel after Alex took over, Hugo's fingerprints are clearly all over it.

Yellow King Film Boy on YouTube also has Hugo's voice over. On 28th Sept 2019, Arcade Messiah (John Bassett) retweeted a Yellow King Film Boy video. This retweet could be seen a few days but has since mysteriously vanished. However, I have a photo of the retweet which I took before it was taken down and can be provided. It seems they are trying to cover their tracks.
