Introduction
Firstly, I should point out that I consider ‘alternative’ medicine as being what
we call allopathic medicine, that is, what we apparently must endure until there are
no healthy people left.
One might, therefore consider that the noscript is misleading. However, it might get
no readership, so I have opted to call this volume as it stands and make no apologies.
This is a health dictionary for everyone and anyone with an open mind. With
short or longer definitions and possible recommendations/advice. Possibly slightly
cynical and hopefully humourous at times but at the same time very serious. You
have been warned. It is essential that the reader of this little book explores and
researches for his or herself all the notions herein presented and accept nothing at
face value.
The author is a professional teacher of the English Language and has spent
nearly 25 years of his working years concerned with and teaching practical survival
skills to students of all ages with 'disabilities'. He is now semi-retired and has no
vested interests except to maintain his continued good health so that he may inform
others of his sixty-odd years of the serious findings from his research in all
disciplines of knowledge.
The author is also a poet, essayist, novelist, original musician and reasonable
artist and has been positively creative since birth. Therefore, the author claims no
affiliation with any country, person, religious doctrine, political party, hero/heroine,
or anyone/thing else.
