The Mirror Mausoleum in Shiraz. Persia. Iran.

"Shah Cherah" translates from Persian as "the prince of light." The mausoleum was built in the fourteenth century.

From the outside, this mausoleum mosque looks quite ordinary - the usual architectural style of Shiraz is combined with the traditional mosaics used to decorate the walls. However, the mosque's interior is simply unimaginably beautiful! The inner walls are richly decorated with pieces of glass, jewels and silver plates, and the dome is completely covered with mirrors and colored glass, that is why people call it the "Mirror Mosque".
