Opinion: deepfake porn & ChatGPT – is technology evolving too quickly for us to steward it ethically?

By Joe Martino

(Opinion) AI is both a fascinating topic to me and a scary one.

On the one hand, AI has helped and can continue to help our lives in many ways – a statement that makes me slightly tense to write because we’ve come to mostly think of AI as a ‘dangerous’ thing these days.

Which brings me to my other point.

There are some huge concerns about how AI is being used and the type of future it could create if we are not careful or perhaps if we don’t increase the quality of our consciousness and being.

I want to lay out some ethical concerns with AI that are already occurring in the real world, scaling from minor to major concerns.

Let’s start with a quick look at the various types of AI out there.

As stated by the website BuiltIn:

Reactive Machines: Technology capable of responding to external stimuli in real-time but unable to build a memory base and store information for future use. (Examples: Email filtering, movie or song recommendations based on what you like.”)

Limited Memory: Machines that can store and use knowledge to learn and train for future tasks. (Chatbots, robot vacuums, self-driving cars)

Theory of Mind: The concept of AI that can sense and respond to human emotions and perform the tasks of limited memory machines.

Self-aware: The final stage of AI is where machines can recognize not only the emotions of others but also have a sense of self and human-level intelligence.

Why are most people cowards? Obedience and the rise of authoritarianism

This video by “Feiko” from the Netherlands explores how excessive conformity and blind obedience have infected the West, displacing the cultivation of courage.

Thoughts on how widespread cowardice enables the rise of authoritarianism and how a rebirth of courage is the antidote to the world’s precarious political situation.

I’ve been saying this for a while. “Transgender” a few years ago was just men who had a sexual fetish of pretending to be or impersonating women. We all used to know this. And suddenly in the last few years everyone seems to have forgotten. If you aren’t firm ASF in your understanding of Reality you will be easily swayed from it.

"Millions of innocent men, women, and children, since the introduction of Christianity, have been burnt, tortured, fined, imprisoned; yet we have not advanced one inch towards uniformity. What has been the effect of coercion? To make one half the world fools, and the other half hypocrites. To support roguery and error all over the earth."

There are a number of indications that the earthquake in Turkey may have been a human caused attack, probably because of their stance on Ukraine.

Now the WEF is using this as an excuse to "augment" (increase) humanitarian efforts.

In case you're not aware, intelligence groups use humanitarian aid as a cover to move their operatives in and out of sensitive areas for information gathering, negotiating with and infiltrating certain groups, and psychological operations.

When an "aid worker" is killed in certain countries, it can then be used to paint the country as dangerous.

Keep an eye on Turkey and not the sensationalised train story the media is distracting you with.
