Well this is another avenue, where the venoms of various organisms, could be getting into our bodies and that's through our food, from pesticides.

Dante's Divine Comedy: Paradisio and Purgatorio
Most of you have heard of 'The Divine Comedy', by Dante Allegjary and assumed that it was just the 'Inferno'.
But the fact is, inferno is just one part of the tale and it is actually a trilogy, consisting of his journey through Pergatory (Pergatorio) and Heaven (Paradisio), along with his journey through hell.
Anyway, read as one work, this becomes a fascinating insight into the realms of the afterlife.
