Israel’s ICC defence was released this morning.

It doesn’t address a single accusation against israel, not a single a attempt of to defy the accusation of mass killing or the mass starvation action.

What it does instead is presenting a procedural arguments that suggest, in Israel’s view, that the court isn’t ennoscriptd to act on the Israeli case.

It is a known fact that in Judaism a regime of mitzvoth replaces ethics. Judaism is basically a realm of litigation and the Talmud is that book of that litigation. Pilpul is the art of Talmudic litigation, the art of fighting procedurally, finding loopholes in the system, disqualifying the judge, discrediting the opponent, it is basically, the art of winning a case despite the criminal evidence against you.

The Israeli ICC Defence is a classic case of Talmudic Pilpul. It is an attempt to delete ethics and get away with an overwhelmingly documented mass murder applying a spaghetti procedural tactics.
