Man, looks at the noscripture and thinks,

'If I can change this bit around here, alter a word or two there and completely cut this bit out, whilst 'old beardy cloud face' isn't looking, I can make people do what I want them to do and no one will be any the wiser, because they'll all think 'Beardy' told them to and not me!'

Then, a few generations later, the people start to think,

'Hang on! Why does "old beardy's" doctrine, seem to only benefit that one guys bloodline that voted himself in as king and not us lot?
I get the feeling he's been pulling a fast one for years?'

This results in an uprising and new management taking over, that look at the noscripture and think,

'Well everything 'old tyrant trousers' said came from 'old beardy' must've been messed with somehow, perhaps we should have a go at changing it?'

Immediately, we kill that person and 'reinterpret' what's already written down, to kind of keep things the way it was, but in a way that appears to the people to be completely different, just with the odd tweak here and there.

Then another few generations, the people catch on and another uprising happens, this time causing a schism that creates another totally new denomination of that original ideology born from that noscripture.
This new denomination, let's call it, 'Keith', decides that the old rules need to benefit them, where as the 'old tyrant pants' (OTP for short) version of 'Old Beardy Cloud Face'(OBCF for short) want the status quo to remain.
This seemingly unreasonable and irreconcilable difference in ideas, causes a war between the followers of OTP and Keith.

In the meantime, in an entirely different nation, OBCF, visits an entirely different bloke, sat on a mountain minding his own business and completely illiterate, to take another crack at this whole religion malarkey. Unfortunately, the guys illiteracy, though on paper, sounds like a perfect way around the guy altering what's written down for their own benefits, it does help if the guy is also able to retain to memory, more than a 6 item shopping list and a London bus timetable... Realising he likely didn't think this through, OBCF, enlists some help to write things down for their new 'Prophet' who we'll name, 'Stabby McBoom Boom Sexually Repressed' (SMBSR for short) in the form of his secretary, Mable.
After writing it down, in plain English, Mable Immediately realises OBCF's mistake and suggests writing it in SMBSR's native language instead?
OBCF then points out that, SMBSR can't read anyway, so it doesn't matter what language it's written in, before sending SMBSR off on his way to spread the good word.
Naturally, when SMBSR turns out to be a bit of a warmongerer and quite fond of throwing people off rooftops, cutting off hands and only very occasionally speaking of peace, (though the guys first name is Stabby, so that should've been a bit of a clue) OBCF realises his mistake and concludes that, SMBSR, likely made up what he had written down for him and ponders whether he should've gone with his first choice, some guy called Genghis Khan?

Anyway, it's too late to change it now and SMBSR's version of OBCF's religion, OTF's and Keith's religions, all come to a head continuously over the centuries, as more and more of their own descendents are overthrown, replaced and their ideologies further altered to benefit the new guy's regime...

If you're following up to now, you'll notice how all of this started from one guys altering of the text given to him, by a benevolent deity, not by the deity himself....

Fast forward to today and some twat on Telegram, who's likely spent 0 seconds actually learning anything of any value that's formed their own opinion, turns up on someone's page, peddling the incoherent babbling of some hack, who doesn't get the concept that,
