Let us explore how we, as a collective of people from the western suburbs of Melbourne (+ surrounds) can build on what we already have in place (informal, formal, organically organised initiatives) to co-create and take ownership of a supportive & caring community for all where diverse approaches are developed.
An inclusive environment of support and alternative networks that can be accessed by all (at whatever way each person wants ...we are all unique and rare people), focusing on unity and growth through diversity of approaches and individuals.
Joining us will be our special guest Darren Bergwerf from the My Place Frankston community, he has also recently been elected as the people’s mayor of Frankston.
He will be sharing about the amazing initiatives of the My Place community, including ‘hubs’ of health, food/ gardening, learning, community markets, social events and more! We will hear about what the My Place community has achieved by uniting and being of support and how the My Place (as one approach) initiatives can (and are) being shared as ideas in other areas and suburbs.
Come and mingle & enjoy a meal at 6pm from the à la carte - talk to commence 7.15pm
All welcome to bring a friend, bring a neighbour!
