THE IMMORTAL | WILL HARVEY | 1990
▼ Well, this has been one of my favorites since childhood. It's one of those cryptic games you accidentally stumble upon as a kid, and it messes you up with its mixture of eeriness, gore, and extreme difficulty—there are no saves, and it can be beaten only by trial and error.
▼ Originally designed for the Apple IIGS, it was later ported to various platforms. The Sega Genesis version featured exclusive bonus finisher moves and the best adaptation of its soundtrack.
▼ Notably, the game’s goriness predates the release of Mortal Kombat by two years.
