IBM released the Simon, widely credited as the world’s first smartphone. It combined personal digital assistant features with phone capabilities—a revolutionary concept at the time. Its battery lasted only an hour, and its cost would be equivalent to around $2,400 today (1994).
The Limited Yellow PS2, part of the Automotive Edition series, was released around 2002–2003. It was not sold commercially and only 2,000 units were distributed globally as promotional items.
