After the murder of at least two Mapuche at the hands of Chilean security force, wide spread protesting has taken place.

Notable the militant group Weichan Auka Mapu has issued a call to arms.

“We are an expression of organic alliance, with principles and ideals attached to the thought and practice exercised by our ancestors in their process of coexistence, as well as a worthy resistance strategy against the usurper and oppressor enemy”

WAM, who formed in 2011 after leaving the Coordinadora Arauco Malleco, have since taken up a campaign of armed resistance in pursuit of Mapuche National Liberation. This most recently has been focused on their conflict with latifundistas, the logging industry (specifically Forestal Mininco) whose resources they have put to the torch several times and demand an immediate end too.

Early on Sunday the Mexican National Guard shot several migrants who attempted to evade a search of their vehicles, killing one, detaining another.

The MNC then deployed themselves in riot gear to police the migrants who have clearly had enough of this bullshit. Subsequently they were pelted with rocks.

The Caravan of some 3000 set off last month from the city of Tapachula on the Guatemalan border carrying on it's northwards journey. Mexico acting on behalf of the USA has persistently and brutally tried to suppress the caravans, least they get to the US Border and "the land of the free" is "forced" once again to suffer the indignity of the world watching US Border patrol tear gas and batter women and children.
