Protesters attacked vehicles from the Minera Las Bambas copper mine as they travelled near on Monday. Protestors stoned the convoy & set fire to two vehicles. People are demanding that the mine provides more direct economic benefits to local residents.

Anonymous federal agents attacked "Portland moms" using batons and tear gas while carrying assault rifles a few hours ago.

To be clear, these are not black bloc anarchos, rioters, looters or crims out for trouble. It's peacefully protesting mums, mostly just standing there with placards.

During conflict it is a war crime to attack an unarmed medic performing their task, clearly civilians supporting each other are not afforded the same luxury.

The police are not fit for purpose.

Portland’s mayor and police commissioner Ted Wheeler attempted to pacify the crowd tonight by entering the protest and hitting the mic. On his way in he had a pile of Police weaponry dropped at his feet.

Meanwhile, the shield wall at the front line forced the cops back into the federal courthouse (which has become the target of focused protest since federal LEAs rolled in and started kidnapping people) and began launching fireworks at it.
