Easiest way to explain danmaku for the people that don't know it would be this
Imagine playing undertale, but only the combat section, always.

I seem to enjoy picking up useless talents
Today I looked into the engine called Danmakufu, which allows you to write your own danmaku spell cards.
I didn't really get too far with it, but I did progress far enough to get hit detection and animations working on some existing sprites.
If I make anything sufficient I will release it here for download, but don't expect anything this year.

Update on fooling around in danmakufu
Boss can die, still fires from offscreen somehow after death
Background replaced as well as a moving effect on top of it (took the background from a monster hunter world screenshot)
Sound Effects
Ending the noscript a few seconds after boss death.
For the most part the basis has been made that can let me expand upon it now, but I will need to sort out some bugs I ran into.

Whatsapp patches critical software vulnerability which allows spyware to be installed onto your device through a missed call
How in the actual fuck do you get that right
To allow data insertions into a device, through a call you did not even accept
I'd understand if you accepted the call, but literally not even touching it allowed the attacker to transmit data to your device, that's just pathetic WhatsApp
I've been saying it like a broken record, but stop using WhatsApp, seriously. It's bad.
I get it, this just got fixed so what's there to worry about? WRONG
There is so much more wrong with that software from a security point of view that you're always compromised on the platform. Stay safe weebs.

I don’t like to focus on competitors. But since people keep asking me about WhatsApp, I have just written this post. It includes my thoughts on them. It also includes my thoughts on us. Enjoy.

Why WhatsApp Will Never Be Secure
The world seems to be shocked by the news that WhatsApp turned any phone into spyware. Everything on your phone – including photos, emails and texts – could be accessed by attackers just because you had WhatsApp installed [1]. This news didn’t surprise…
While everyone is on fire with profile images disappearing, have a new sticker to show your surprise of thinking you just got blocked.
On that note, I am sure this will be fixed pretty fast.

This week on "Seth does shit you're not really all that interested in"
I have implemented a 3D render for the background, with a fog in the background.
I have also adjusted camera movement lightly to make it look like you're going down a hallway.
Additionally I created more bullet spawn locations that are not the boss, and created some tracking for them to pinpoint the character as well, so that they put you in a bit of a tighter position.
Sound effects and the lot are still there, I just disabled audio on the recording.
The bug where the character still shoots a bit after death I have not looked into addressing yet.

Create and submit 3 vector-based animated stickers before June, 7 11:59 PM and get a chance to win $1,500 or more. Authors of the best stickers will join the pool of permanent Telegram artists.
You will need:
1. Any vector graphics editor that allows exporting vector objects to Adobe After Effects for turning them into animations.
2. Adobe After Effects.
3. The Bodymovin-TG plugin, a fork of Bodymovin for Adobe After Effects that can be used to export animations to .TGS, the Telegram animated stickers format.
Technical requirements:
- Sticker/canvas size must be 512х512 pixels.
- Sticker objects must not leave the canvas.
- Animation length must not exceed 2-3 seconds.
- The animation must be looped.
- The size of your animated sticker must not exceed 64 KB.
- You must not use the following Adobe After Effects functionality when creating the animation: Expressions, Masks, Mattes, Layer Effects, Images, Solids, Texts, 3D Layers, Merge Paths, Star Shapes, Gradient Strokes, Repeaters, Time Stretching, Time Remapping, Auto-Oriented Layers. Using any of these tools will make it impossible to export your animation with Bodymovin-TG.

Looking into the requirements of creating animated stickers on telegram,
I can say with certainty, that animating anime related content will be really tough for me and take up to days for a single file.
I don't own Adobe After Effects, and have not tried using it before either, so there will be a skill learning curve.
As it stands with these requirements, I would need to redraw the character using vector art, which I still need to get a better understanding of to do properly. And then morph the character into the animation I would want it to do, or create each frame individually as vector art.
The filesize might also prove problematic, as simple vector anime art normally sits at about 30 - 40kb a file without any animations. Adding animations or creating new frames will bump up that filesize making it go past its max filesize.
From my side I don't think telegrams implementation on how they're aproaching this is bad
I am just not really happy with the limitations they're applying on top of it.
Normal sticker filesize limitations are 512kb, but the animated files need to be tiny. I get that telegram might want people to optimize, but they're also barring complexity with all their restrictions that they're applying to it.
Any ways, we'll see where this goes. I might take a stab at it and post progress updates if I ever do attempt it.
But don't expect this type of content from this channel at this time.
