U.S. European Command raised it’s watch level from "possible crisis" to "potential imminent crisis" (the highest level) in response to the buildup of Russian forces on the border with Ukraine.
The Russian Military, including the 56th airborne brigade, are heading for the Crimean Peninsula of Ukraine, with military artillery and other BMP equipment. (videos from March 27-30, 2021)
US Defense officials confirm military forces have come from multiple regions of Russia and no exercises have been announced for these troop movements.
