During the birds' breeding season, the crocodiles balance twigs and sticks across their snouts and lay perfectly still in shallow waters, pretending to be a log. Attracted by those nice nest-making sticks, the unsuspecting bird gets too close, and that's when the crocodile lunges and gets his kill.
