In 1997, a 23-year-old French con artist named Frederic Bourdin, impersonate and assumed the identity of Nicholas Barclay; a 13-year-old who went missing in 1994. Although Bourdin had a French accent and brown eyes he managed to convince Barclay's family that he was their missing blue-eyed son. Bourdin lived with the family for nearly five months until he got caught.
