Watch Liscon Day 2 talks

I’m going to write some thoughts from Liscon, free-form style.

Getting away from all the price-action driven manic depression in the telegram chats and discord groups was exactly what I needed to help me zoom out and remember the bigger picture. Sure, I met degens over there as well, and a some of the projects that I was exposed to in Liscon were all about ‘petty’ incremental improvements and optimizing for yield rather than substance, but you only need to catch a small glimpse of the real builders who are trying to bridge the digital with the physical to immediately snap back into perspective. I’m talking about projects like VitaDAO or Gitcoin for example. Projects that will help shape the future of our world for the better. KlimaDAO and Toucan are another great example.

When BTC (and the day after — ETH) hit ATH people were so euphoric it was great.

The talks were very interesting, for the most part. A lot of talks about web3, NFTs, gaming, the intersection points between them all. Some about rollups and the merge, some about public goods, it was great. Definitely try to watch videos of some talks. A lot of dealflow was shared. A lot of important and remarkable things were planted in Liscon, it feels like. ;)

The egg game by Witnet (decentralized oracle project) was captivating. It wasn’t novel per-se — the idea exists in gacha games and japenese yoshi-egg style QR games already — but the execution was perfect. I wrote about it here: https://twitter.com/0xShual/status/1450924600674635786

Yeah I don't really have a point, don't meant to take too much of your time.

TLDR: it was great moving away from casino-land and talk to actual builders and captains-of-the-industry for a few. Helps put things in perspective. Very needed.
