“Two Steps From Home” is a collaborative project aimed at creating a visual novel set within the Signalis universe. You play as Conrad, a Gestalt recently assigned to Sierpinski S-23. As your days unfold on Sierpinski S-23, you will encounter and form bonds with a diverse cast of character- both Gestalt and Replika alike.

The game and the assets within will be free and available to all upon the project’s completion.

Elke: A older Eule type model, Elke acts as the overseer to the working class Replikas and as an important assistant to the facility’s 2nd in command, Adler. Best described as sassy yet professional, Elke is well known and respected across the facility. During her time there, she has developed a sort of love-hate relationship with the facility’s only human technician, Petr.

Falke: The stoic leader of Sierpinski S-23, Falke has always served as a trustworthy commander for the facility until recently. Now she spends most of her time wandering the facility aimlessly and resting in her quarters. Everyday is a battle within her mind as Falke tries to make sense of new memories that aren’t hers or lost human experiences from her past long ago.

Adele: On the surface, Adele has a timid demeanor but to those she becomes comfortable with, a wild and imaginative side becomes apparent. She struggles with people’s perceptions of her and often tries to conform to their expectations in order to please people; even if this distracts from her core passions like creating music.

Sabine: Most of the faculty at Sierpinski S-23 know Sabine by either her sadistic nature or through her fierce competitive spirit. She has an overwhelming desire to complete any mission assigned to her regardless of the cost to herself or others and she always strives to outperform her peers. Underneath her rough exterior lies a softer woman with a tragic past who wants to learn what it means to love not only others, but herself as well.

Adler: The cold calculating 2nd in command at Sierpinski S-23, Adler manages logistics and personnel for the entire facility. He is the most intelligent and stable of Replikas stationed there but recent events coupled with his commander’s deteriorating health have caused his once stone cold stoic personality to waver. The resurgence of memories from a past human life and his futile attempt to comprehend the warped reality that is unfolding before him threaten to completely destroy Adler’s mind; sending him into a spiral of madness and Nihilism.

Wren: A talented Replika technician at Sierpinski S-23, Wren makes sure the facility stays functioning even when personnel or supplies are low. She is only 2nd to Petr in regards to familiarity of the inner workings of the facility. She does manage to pursue hobbies of her own, but her introverted nature makes sharing/collaborating with others on these passions difficult. More than anything, she desires a sense of belonging and purpose in her life.

Klara: Sweet and empathetic, Klara is a beloved member of the faculty at Sierpinski S-23. She acts as commander, interrogator, and therapist to the faculty at the facility. She loathes using intimidation or force to maintain order as she view the faculty members under her as a sort of family and thus works hard to provide for their mental/physical health. However, Klara's dedication to others has the potential to harm her as traumatic memories resurface, causing her to lose control of her bio-resonance powers.

Mina: A gentle giant at heart, Mina contributes to the facility through her strong work ethnic and affectionate personality towards the other miners. She tries to live a good moral life but finds herself conflicted with her religious sensibilities and the harsh world she finds herself in. A lingering sense of regret and the desire to nurture other’s development plague her mind and soul at times but she manages to persevere for the Gestalts there.

Stahl: Possessing a cool and professional demeanor, Stahl maintains law and order at Sierpinski S-23 in an efficient manner. Even with her status as a Protektor, Stahl still gets along well with other faculty members; choosing to treat them as people instead of belittling them due to rank and status. At times, she questions her loyalty to her commanding officers and the organizations she serves; a feeling that only intensifies as tragic human memories resurface. She is just another individual trying to find herself in this crazy and cruel world she lives in.

Announcement: The artist Salv1a has been removed from the "Two Steps From Home" Signalis themed visual novel project due to her recent behavior of slandering other members of the team and acting to sow division within.
