Татьяна Зайцева переехала в Москву из Новосибирска, где обучалась в бакалавриате на химическом направлении факультета естественных наук в Новосибирском государственном университете. В НГУ в ходе своей научной работы она занималась разработкой новых катализаторов для электролизеров, работала в области водородной энергетики, а в Сколтех поступила на программу «Материаловедение».
Студентка Сколтеха объяснила, что ей всегда было интересно не только совершать научные открытия, но и создавать свои проекты в области энергетики и развивать их до производственного уровня:
После выпуска Татьяна планирует работать в энергетической области, совмещать науку и производство.

«В области энергетики я не первый год. Однако мне всегда хотелось работать с индустриальными компаниями для внедрения научных разработок в производство, именно поэтому я выбрала "Материаловедение" в Сколтехе. Наш центр активно взаимодействует с производствами, благодаря чему научные открытия трансформируются под нужды компании, — рассказала Татьяна, отметив, что сейчас она работает над оптимизацией синтеза катодных материалов для натрий-ионных аккумуляторов в группе Станислава Федотова, доцента Центра энергетических технологий. — При поступлении эта тема была новой для меня, но благодаря отзывчивости студентов и сотрудников лаборатории я быстро справилась с трудностями, влилась в коллектив и начала работать уже самостоятельно».
Студентка Сколтеха объяснила, что ей всегда было интересно не только совершать научные открытия, но и создавать свои проекты в области энергетики и развивать их до производственного уровня:
«В этом году совместно со стартап-клубом Сколтеха и Энерготехнохабом Петербурга мы открыли энергетический клуб, в котором меня выбрали президентом. Энергетический клуб был создан для развития и продвижения стартапов в области энергетики. Основная его цель — комфортная атмосфера для работы студентов, мотивирование и поддержка. Наша команда занимается организацией дискуссионных сессий с экспертами, экскурсий на производства и других тематических мероприятий».
После выпуска Татьяна планирует работать в энергетической области, совмещать науку и производство.
«Сейчас я совершенствую навыки руководства проектами, что позволит мне в будущем занять руководящую позицию в энергетической компании и успешно управлять инновационными проектами для устойчивого развития отрасли».
