This is the right time to speak about Soil health instead of Soil fertility.
Soil is mother
Plant is child
If the mother is healthy child will be healthy.
3 to 6 per cent organic content must be there in the soil (if not 6 per cent at least 3 per cent).
To protect Soil health -
1. We should suggest farmers that avoid crop residue burning (crop residue should turn into the soil)
2. Growing pulses
3. Addition of tank silt to crop fields !
4. Soil testing at least once in 2 years !
5. Growing green manure crops !
