I've had people ask me if the hornet situation is even real. Yes, they're bad, and they've been fucking with France for nearly 20 years now and they've since crossed into Spain, Portugal, Italy.. it's a much slower plague and it's coming for bees with their two foot spherical nests that require pounds of flesh a day to sustain.

In other giant bug news, also in Washington, non-native gypsy moths that can defoliate like a soft swarm of locusts and breed like a sunfish have also moved in.
