So here’s what happened.

The union crew goes on strike, the scab crew comes in. The scab armorer uses the gun as a range toy and doesn’t clear it, and Alec Baldwin pulled the trigger, shooting Halyna and wounding the director behind her.

The worst part is it was Alec and the Director who were cutting corners. They were both writers and producers and the total budget for the film was about 7.5m, basically just above the average B horror movie budget. Halyna, she was supporting the IATSE workers and advocating for less corner cutting. This is too stupid to be an assassination, but frankly, given what we know, we may as well treat it like a murder and charge the director, Alec, and the armorer.
