95% white, high min wage, college/retirement town, most jobs are in service and retail and refuse to commit to a schedule when hiring or even regularly assign 15 hours a week

Prides itself in being woke, but if you're making less than six figures your can't afford a house and there aren't really any off campus apartments because "that's gentrifying"

Young, poor people there live in housing co-ops, of which the majority don't accept students, splitting up houses more ways than they have bedrooms

They do interesting things like force every business to integrate four garbage cans with charts on how to sort their companies waste - compost, landfill, metal, and plastic

And they astroturf and keep Walmart and other chains out, except a subsidiary of Kroger

So poor people can't even afford fresh food because it's ALL fucking organic health food groceries

Oh also, if there are three unrelated people in one house

Sharing rent

That's an illegal housing co-op

And you need to register as a corporation, pay taxes as one, be regulated by the boulder housing authority, and have everyone sign away their 4th amendment rights as they pertain to the home
