The US Senate are trying to pass the EARN IT Act once more. TLDR it is a conservative attack on free speech that, if passed, will destroy Section 230 of Title 47 of the United States Code and force everyone and everything online to submit to conservative-dictated moral decency measures or be removed from the internet entirely.

Section 230 is the only reason why social media exists and why anyone can post what they want to online. The EARN IT Act is an anti-queer, anti-union, anti-progressive, sex-negative, pro-fascist, pro-conservative trash and nothing more. It will do even worse damage than FOSTA/SESTA. Florida passes a bill that allows the state to take emergency custody of any child that may be 'exposed' to gender affirming care. The child doesn't need to be trans, and the law can override custody orders from other states

Later that session, Florida Democrats were dancing with Republicans after they passed bills that banned abortions, attacked trans people, destroyed immigrants' rights, and cut back protections for union members and tenants. DeSantis will be quick to sign.
