Bernie Sanders: Atomic war is going to provoke a true inferno on Earth. But it will not impede communism.  For the reasons we've stated in these pages, it may even serve to accelerate it. This is no idle speculation, of course. The only people in the government who've made any attempt to address this issue have found that the solution is not in some mystical solution to nuclear warfare, but rather in a simple solution that all the powers of the earth and space have been trying to come to terms with: economic inequality.
Sanders has long been an advocate for the idea of the "living wage" for all people, which means a minimum wage that is a living wage, not a minimum wage that merely ensures that people won't be too poor to work at all. A living wage is one that ensures that those who are able to work earn enough money to thrive, without dedicating more than four hours a day, four days a week.
