🐢🔥L'Assemblée Ouverte de Défense de la Colline de Strefi à Athènes lance une campagne de crowfunding pour soutenir financièrement sa lutte. Cette lutte est freinée par les dépenses exorbitantes liées aux recours judiciaires contre Prodea, aux arrestations de nos membres et aux mobilisations fréquentes. Nous vous invitons à soutenir financièrement notre tentative commune de sauver la colline, Exarcheia et leur histoire de l'offensive la plus brutale et coordonnée que le quartier ait jamais connu.
La colline de Strefi est l’un des rares coins de forêt d’Athènes et c’est le seul d’Exarcheia qui soit aussi un espace public en accès libre. Depuis le 3 octobre 2022, au prétexte de réhabiliter la colline, deux entreprises auxquelles la mairie d’Athènes a offert le chantier s’attellent à la détruire : la société immobilière Prodea Investments et UNISON, entrepreneur de la mairie pour les espaces verts. Par le biais de la privatisation directe ou indirecte des espaces publics, les parcs et les places du monde entier se trouvent réduites à des destinations touristiques .

The lot they started with was gravel not concrete, but both have a problem with the soil being compacted beneath. They turned it into a permaculture garden with minimal digging / soil disruption.
(after removing the parking surface) mulching can protect the soil, keep it insulated, and also provide food and shelter for burrowing critters like worms and moles and such, which loosen and enrich the soil. Deep rooting taproot plants help to reach deep too. 🌱
