We are Team ISAAC and we want to make you an offer: work with us in a broad-spectrum robotics project, which covers advanced design and mechanical, electronic and IT integration.
We work in service robotics and our current project is Rese.Q: a modular tracked robot created for search and rescue applications and designed to move in rough terrain and overcome obstacles.
We are also open to new and innovative ideas for our next projects in the service robotics field.
In our team, you can also focus on more than one area, and the currently open positions are as follows:
Communication/Design:
Social media manager: creating content for the team's social media, both on LinkedIn and Instagram.
Production and editing of videos and photos to showcase the team's activities.
Graphic design of the team's material such as posters and flyers.
Computer Science:
System admin: management and maintenance of the laboratory server and software platforms used by the team (e.g., Proxmox, OPNsense, Docker, Wireguard, ...).
Python programming with ROS interfacing, for high-level software for the prototype (remote control, robot feedback, calculated trajectory communication, ...).
Computer vision, to map the environment and detect obstacles using RealSense cameras.
Embedded Systems:
Computer science area: low-level code design in C++ for motor management, module communication, and sensor management.
Electronics area: SMD PCB design with Altium, purchase, assembly and testing.
Control:
Development and calibration of motor control algorithms.
Environment mapping, motion planning, autonomous driving.
Mechanics:
Mechanical design, 3D printing, manufacturing of the prototypes.
Don't worry if you don't know how to answer everything, what we want to evaluate is enthusiasm and willingness to learn!

NASA has unveiled the supersonic jet X-59.
🔸The X-59 achieves supersonic speeds but, unlike other jets, it is "silent" and does not create a thunderous sound in the atmosphere. Supersonic flights over land are currently prohibited due to sonic disturbances.
🔸Under development since 2016, the X-59 can reach speeds of approximately 1,488 kilometers per hour or 1.4 Mach. With dimensions of only about 30 meters in length, 9 meters in width, and a slender design to mitigate shockwaves from supersonic flight.
