Research has found that for each month that a child spends in daycare in the age range range 0-2, they suffer a 0.5% decrease in IQ. This effect was most significant among girls, who suffered 0.7% lower IQ for each year they spent in daycare.

29-year-old Yulia Storozhuk avoided jail time and was only sentenced to three years probation.
Storozhuk says she fled the Ukraine war and came to the United States about a year ago.
As part of her plea deal, she faces deportation back to Ukraine.
