🔹 What is it? ✍️

Markets on Orbit allows you to speculate on macro events, earning reports, crypto-related news, etc. (before they happen) by investing in perpetual futures, stocks, and options (all on chain). Perps are supported today with support coming soon for other assets.

🔹 How does it work? ✍️

Orbit streams a diverse set of events/news directly to you. You can execute a trade based on how you think the market will react. After opening a trade, you can close it out to lock in profits.

🔹 Why is it better than prediction markets? ✍️

They're different. TL;DR - prediction markets allow you to get exposure to any number of outcomes whereas Orbit Markets allows you to get exposure different types of assets onchain with real-time access to news/info.

🔹 Can I create my own markets? 👀

Not yet. The team is toying with an idea for this. In short, people would be able to submit anonymous news/rumors that others can trade on.

We would incentivize the submission of accurate and timely info by giving creators a portion of the fees generated from the volume generated by users who trade on this info.

🤖 Orbit will only surface user submitted markets in the feed with a high confidence score.

🔹 But if I have asymmetric information why wouldn't I just trade it myself? 🤔

Users are privy to information but don't have the means to trade on it. Unless you're a hedge fund, your financial outcome is far better to share it and earn fees on the trading volume generated.
